Development snapshot

This page summarizes the user-visible capabilities of the documentation's current development snapshot. A versioned public release history is not yet provided.

Current capabilities

  • Structured descriptions of systems, networks, objects, and events
  • Compilation of CRADLE specifications into lower-level environment definitions
  • Generation of deployment artifacts for libvirt, VirtualBox, and SPHERE
  • Complete scenario execution for supported libvirt and VirtualBox workflows
  • Collection of operational outputs such as logs and packet captures

Current limitations

  • Provider capabilities and host requirements differ
  • Some workflows require separately configured virtualization or cyber-range infrastructure
  • Installation, licensing, and access depend on the authorized CRADLE distribution

See Known limitations for the complete user-facing summary of language, provider, runtime, extraction, and cleanup boundaries.

When a versioned release is published, its release notes should identify new capabilities, behavior changes, provider changes, breaking changes, resolved issues, known limitations, and upgrade requirements.
